At Jagger, we select partnership programs with a holistic reforestation and ecological restoration approach. We prefer program projects within deforested areas that support the local community by employing local people and helping animal livelihood.
If there is an area where trees grow naturally, we know this area offers an environment where trees can thrive. Where we can support regenerative agriculture and biodiversity, we support multiple causes. We believe in following the species' natural succession path, which is the most effective way to get to a new forest eventually. The first trees prepare the way for other species on bare land because they fix nitrogen or capture water. Animals shall be attracted by new trees and can create micro-eco systems.
Furthermore, the cost of growing trees is a crucial element. The project needs to be scalable at a low price to create the maximum impact.
