To recognise which TV, radio, video and advertising content you are exposed to, the app needs your permission. With microphone access, it recognises media playing around you. On supported devices, it also recognises media playing on your phone itself when you use headphones or earbuds. One consent covers both, and you can pause or turn it off at any time.
